our approach

We see children and adolescents of all ages. Common evaluation concerns include developmental delays, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, anxiety and mood disorders, sleep disorders, and children with medical and social complexities who are at higher risk for developmental delays and behavioral challenges.

Our practitioners combine highly specialized expertise and education with compassion, warmth and empathy in their approach to patient care. We listen first and strive to make every parent/guardian and child feel heard before and during evaluation and treatment. We believe in therapeutic and holistic treatment as first line interventions for children but also prescribe medication when needed.

Appointments

Pre-vist Forms:

You will be provided with an intake form through Patient Fusion prior to your first visit with Dr. White. It is important that this form be filled out before your appointment and all previous evaluations including medical, educational, and therapy evaluations are provided at the time of booking.

Evaluations:

  1. Initial Visit (In-Person): This appointment begins with the parents/guardians to get a background understanding of the child/adolescent’s medical, developmental, and social history. The remainder of the time is catered to the unique needs of the child. It may include further testing for developmental stages, brief cognitive testing, autism testing, or standardized questionnaires to provide insight into attention and mood concerns. (2 hours)

  2. Feedback (In-Person or Telehealth): This is a follow-up visit to review the findings of the developmental evaluation and discuss interventions and recommendations. This may also include referrals to other providers including therapists as well as recommendation for medication management.  (45 mins)

Follow-Up Care:

Follow-Up Care is based on the needs of the child. For children without medication management, this may be on a 6 month to yearly basis. For medication management, follow-up visits will occur more regularly.

After Hours/Unscheduled Calls:

In the case that you need to get in touch outside of hours or when you do not have time to schedule an appointment, phone calls are billed in 15 min increments.

  • Anthem BCBS (commercial plans only)

  • United Healthcare (commercial and medicaid only)
