dr. Elizabeth white

Dr. Elizabeth White grew up in Georgia and South Carolina. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia and attended the Medical University of South Carolina, where she received the Award for Clinical Excellence in Pediatrics. After completing her Pediatric Residency training at UVA, she worked as a general pediatrician at UVA Northridge Pediatrics and returned for a Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics fellowship. Post-graduation, she stayed on as a full-time Assistant Professor in the UVA Department of Pediatrics.

Dr. White is board certified in both Pediatrics and Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatricians.

In July 2023, Dr. White opened her private practice. She remains a part-time faculty member at UVA, enjoying a close relationship with the DBP division as well as with the UVA School of Education through the Sheila C. Johnson Center, where she engages in weekly interdisciplinary autism spectrum disorder evaluations. Dr. White sees children of all ages for a wide variety of concerns with a specialty in complex autism spectrum disorder and ADHD evaluations. Her approach begins with therapeutic and holistic interventions but she is also able to prescribe and manage medications.

Outside of work, Dr. White enjoys being with friends and family, including her husband, three children and their puppy. She loves music, dancing, collegiate sports, running and spending time with her family.
